Reviews!

To any authors/publishers/ tour companies that are looking for the reviews that I signed up for please know this is very hard to do. I will be stopping reviews temporarily. My husband passed away February 1st and my new normal is a bit scary right now and I am unable to concentrate on a book to do justice to the book and authors. I will still do spotlight posts if you wish it is just the reviews at this time. I apologize for this, but it isn't fair to you if I signed up to do a review and haven't been able to because I can't concentrate on any books. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time. I appreciate all of you. Kathleen Kelly April 2nd 2024

The pounding is insistent, so I get out of bed in a hurry. When I open the door and enter the living room, my mother is already up. She squints her eyes at me and worry lines deepen on her forehead.
"What's going on?" she asks.
I shrug and scurry to open the front door, where I'm met with Chase's sharp blue eyes.
"Taylor needs you and Chi in the meeting room right now," he says without greeting me. "We have a situation."
He pushes past me and steps into the foyer. I blink at his back a few times, and I'm still holding the door open when he turns around to snap at me, "Now, Thia. We don't have all day."
I'm struck by the gravity of his features, so tense and grim, when his expression is usually soft and gentle. His tanned skin is almost pale with anxiety this morning.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"I don't have time to explain. Where's Chi?"
"He's still sleeping. Let me wake him up and get dressed."
"No time to change," Chase replies. "Taylor doesn't wanna wait."
A blush rises to my cheeks when I realize I'm wearing nothing but a knee-length, short-sleeved nightgown. I wrap my arms around myself, though my outfit doesn't seem to faze Chase.

When he notices my reaction, he averts his eyes to allow me some modesty. "Sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable, Thia. We can't see anything through your gown. Please, just hurry up."
